Wooloowin is located in inner-northern Brisbane, around 6km from the CBD. Suburbs surrounding Wooloowin include Kedron, Nundah, Clayfield, Albion, Lutwyche & Gordon Park. The population of Wooloowin was around 5,500 at the last census.
Public transport in Wooloowin is covered by the Wooloowin and Eagle Junction train stations as well as plenty of council buses. By road the trip from Wooloowin into the CBD is around 15 minutes, but is considerably longer during peak hour. The Brisbane International and Domestic airports are also within a 15 minute drive.
The closest shopping centre is located at Toombul, however the main road through Wooloowin (Junction Rd) contains plenty of specialty stores and medical suites.
Wooloowin is also home to the Shawsportz playing fields. The popular Oztag competition is played at Shawsportz on Wednesday nights throughout the year.
